Day 01 : Where the Island Adventure Begins
- Arrive in Sri Lanka and meet your English-speaking chauffeur at the airport. From here, your island adventure begins as you travel towards Colombo.
- The first drive offers a gentle introduction to Sri Lanka’s tropical atmosphere, with busy roads, palms, colorful streets and glimpses of everyday island life gradually replacing the airport surroundings. After checking into your hotel, take time to rest and settle into the rhythm of your journey.
- Depending on your arrival time, you may explore some of Colombo’s highlights, from lively city streets and colonial landmarks to coastal views along the Indian Ocean.

Day 02 : Into the Heart of Sri Lanka’s Rainforest
- After breakfast, leave Colombo behind and travel towards the lush southern interior of Sri Lanka.
- As the city gradually fades, the landscape begins to change. Urban surroundings give way to quiet villages, green countryside, tea plantations and increasingly dense tropical vegetation. Your destination is the Sinharaja Rainforest, one of Sri Lanka’s most important natural treasures and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- The journey feels like a transition from the familiar world of roads and towns into a deeper, greener Sri Lanka. Depending on your selected accommodation and access point, continue towards Kudawa or Deniyaya and settle into your rainforest surroundings.
- Take time to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, where the sounds of the forest begin to replace the noise of the city.

Day 03 : Beneath the Canopy of Sinharaja
- Begin the day with an exploration of the Sinharaja Rainforest, accompanied by a local nature guide.
- Walking beneath the forest canopy, you enter an ecosystem that feels almost timeless. The rainforest is filled with layers of life: leaves moving high above, calls echoing between the trees, butterflies passing through shafts of sunlight and colorful birds appearing briefly among the foliage.
- Sinharaja is especially important for bird watching and offers opportunities to encounter several endemic species, as well as forest birds, butterflies and other wildlife. Your guide will help you notice the smaller details that are easy to miss, from unusual plants and insects to the sounds and movements that reveal the presence of hidden animals.
- After the rainforest experience, continue towards Udawalawe. Along the way, the dense wet-zone forest gradually gives way to drier southern plains, creating a visible change in both scenery and atmosphere.

Day 04 : From Elephant Country to Coastal Wetlands
- Start the day with a wildlife experience in Udawalawe National Park, a landscape where open grasslands, scrub and water sources create ideal conditions for observing wild elephants.
- As you travel through the park on safari, watch the scenery carefully. An elephant may appear beside the road, a crocodile may lie quietly near the water, or a herd of deer may move across the open plains. Keep looking for wild buffalo, wild boar, colourful birds and other animals that share this remarkable habitat.
- Continue towards Bundala National Park, where the character of the landscape changes again. Its lagoons, wetlands and coastal ecosystems provide shelter and feeding grounds for a rich variety of birdlife. The park offers a quieter and more reflective wildlife experience, with birds moving across the water and open wetlands stretching towards the coast.
- After exploring Bundala, continue towards Yala and check into your accommodation in the Yala area.

Day 05 : A Day in the Wilds of Yala
- Today is dedicated entirely to exploring Yala National Park, one of Sri Lanka’s most famous wildlife destinations.
- Yala is a place of contrasts. Open plains lead into scrubland, forests, lagoons and rocky outcrops, creating a varied setting where every turn of the safari can reveal something different. The landscape may appear quiet at first, but it is constantly alive with movement.
- Look out for elephants, crocodiles, spotted deer, wild buffalo, wild boar and a wide variety of birdlife. The park’s leopard population adds an extra sense of anticipation to the experience.
- Even when a leopard remains hidden, the search itself becomes part of the adventure: reading tracks, watching the trees and observing the reactions of other animals.
- Spend the day absorbing the atmosphere of Yala, where wildlife is not simply viewed but experienced through the sounds, scents and changing moods of the wilderness.
- Return to your hotel after the safari and enjoy a relaxing evening surrounded by nature.

Day 06 : Leaving the Wilderness, Embracing the Coast
- After breakfast, leave the wilderness of Yala and travel towards Sri Lanka’s beautiful southern coast.
- The journey offers one final change of scenery. Dry-zone landscapes gradually become greener, villages and tropical countryside appear along the route, and the influence of the coast becomes increasingly visible. After several days among forests, wetlands and national parks, the Indian Ocean provides a refreshing change of atmosphere.
- Arrive in Galle, a historic coastal city shaped by centuries of maritime trade and colonial history. Explore the UNESCO-listed Galle Fort, walking along its old walls and through its narrow streets lined with historic buildings, colonial architecture, boutiques and cafés.
- As the day comes to an end, enjoy the relaxed coastal character of Galle and reflect on the wildlife experiences that have shaped your journey through Sri Lanka.

Day 07 : A Fond Farewell to the Island
- After breakfast, begin your final journey towards Bandaranaike International Airport.
- Depending on your flight departure time, you may have some free time to enjoy Galle or take in one last view of the southern coast. The drive to the airport brings your journey full circle, from the coastal landscapes back towards the point where your Sri Lankan adventure began.
- Arrive at the airport in time for your departure, carrying memories of rainforest trails, elephant encounters, quiet wetlands, leopard country and the changing landscapes of the island.

Booking & Payment Information
A 20% advance payment is required to confirm your booking. The remaining 80% balance can be paid in cash upon arrival or by bank transfer at least 3 days before arrival. (For bank transfers, all charges must be covered by the customer, and the full invoiced amount must be received by Dia Lanka Travels.)
Cancellation Policy
Non-Refundable Advance & Late Cancellations – The 20% advance payment is non-refundable under all circumstances. Additionally, cancellations made within 30 days of arrival and no-shows are not eligible for any refund, as all accommodations, transportation, and travel arrangements are confirmed in advance.
